The Candidate Academy invites you to attend this two-day course to guide Resident Engineers on roads projects in their specific functions, roles and responsibilities on site.
Attend this course and learn about:
- Duties of the Resident Engineer
- Dealing with the client, engineer, contractor, community and other role players
- Relationships, ethics and responsibilities
- Good record keeping and contract management
- Inspections, tests and approval of construction activities
- Quality control and evaluations
- Measurement and payment certificates
- Supervision and site management

The course is aimed at (but not limited to):
- Candidate engineers, technologists and technicians whose aim it is to master the necessary skills towards becoming a respected Senior Resident Engineer of excellence on road construction projects
- Assistant Resident Engineers working on road construction and other construction projects
- Resident Engineers with limited experience
- Project Engineers from Government bodies working on construction projects
CPD
This course is accredited with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) and carries two CPD credits
Please note the following requirements for online courses:
- Delegates are responsible to ensure that they have sufficient data to cover the full duration of the online course.
- According to the ECSA requirements for online training, a compulsory online assessment must be completed.
- The pass mark for the test is 75%.
